Frame components for 18 Bikes Custom Steel Hardtails

Paragon plate dropout

If you’ve read the other sections, you’ll see that we often create our own parts where there’s nothing suited to the job. In the case of dropouts and many other parts, there’s lots (too many!?) options. We deal with several UK and worldwide companies, see below for some details and links to browse!

A selection of frame components including wright dropouts, a paragon bottom bracket shell and some cable guides

Paragon Machine Works - Most people will have heard of Paragon sliding dropouts, but we use these guys for much more - nice relieved BB shells, hooded “wright” dropouts, disc mounts - the list goes on...

Ceeway - Really the only UK based parts supplier for framebuilders, these guys are a little more traditional road led, but very handy for braze ons brazing filler.

Henry James is another traditional supplier, based in the USA. We only buy Gasflux brazing flux from them, it's less harmfull than the products available in the UK and can be washed away with water rather than abrasive techniques.

Kirk Pacenti is another small supplier, mainly of lugs in the USA. Another useful source for small frame parts.

2Souls Cycles Evo2 Dropout

2Souls Cycles- A small framebuilder in Schwabisch Gmund, Germany (they run the annual EHBE show), we use their evo2 sliding dropouts. This design gives plenty of material and scope for custom shaping to suit various stay options. Being less cantilevered, they rarely require a brake brace.

Have a browse through these sites and if anything takes your fancy, let us know!
