2022 18 Bikes No9
The No9. is our 29er mountain bike hardtail - made by us in Sheffield and tested right here in the Peak District. It’s a mountain bike for those of us who like “a bit of everything” riding - up/down/round/over, big bridleway bashing, trail centres, it’s all great!
Matt’s given the No9 a revamp for 2022, with some slight tweaks to geometry, new dropper routing and a couple of sweet new finishes.
We no longer offer the No7 (our 27.5” model) so we’ve added a 450mm reach size in the No9. Unlike the larger 29” sizes, this 450mm size is MX, designed for 27.5” rear and 29” front wheel. Subject to demand, we may offer MX versions of the 475 and 500mm sizes too.
The dropper routing now runs inside the downtube, with our own 3D printed part to guide it around the bottom bracket at the seat tube/down tube junction. We include a spare, as someone’s bound to lose it!
The geometry is relatively long, but by no means to the extremes that some brands are going - we’re keen that our bikes make it round corners too! We’re also aiming for our prospective customers to have a choice of sizing, which is why we’re basing our sizing around the reach measurement - rather than the conventional Medium/Large etc. This means that most riders will have a choice of 2 frame lengths, with options for what stem length and seatpost drop to pick.
