2025 Mondraker Crafty!

Since launching their first ebikes in 2016, Mondraker have gone from strength to strength with their range expanding to cover more motor brands and options, styles of bikes and a variety of battery sizes to suit different riders.
The Crafty range has been a standout for us, with us often joking that Mondraker UK could almost be nicknamed Crafty UK - with a full power Bosch motor, 150mm travel and sensible specs across the board, the Crafty is a top choice for a do-it-all EMtb.
It's all change for 2025 with a new Crafty range to match in with Bosch's latest CX motor, battery and software updates matched to a new frame with tweaked geometry and a 5th size. There's quite a lot to take in, so read on!
2025 Mondraker Crafty frame updates
With the latest Bosch CX motor having a different bolt pattern, Mondraker have taken the chance to revamp the Crafty frame options, but it's a little complicated. There's no longer an all-aluminium frame, instead we have either a Carbon front end with aluminium rear, or a full Carbon frame on the higher spec models.
There's also new sizing, with a new ML size squeezing in for those "am I a Medium or a Large?" questions. This spread the other sizes out a touch, so it'll be a slightly confusing year or so with carry over models using the previous 4 sizes and new models such as the Crafty using Small/Medium/ML/Large/XL.
The only outlier in the Crafty range is the Crafty Race, which uses the 2024 Crafty Aluminium frame and continues with Small/Medium/Large/XL sizing.
2025 Mondraker Crafty Bosch updates
Other than the Crafty Race, the entire Crafty range uses the new Performance Line CX motor with the new Purion display, Bosch Mini remote and System Controller. Depending on model, they either use the 600Wh or 800Wh battery and all have compatibility for the Powermore 250 range extender.
The new batteries use new cell technology to significantly reduce the weight too, with the 800Wh battery being 400g lighter than the outgoing 750 battery. Lighter AND more capacity!
- New lighter (100g) Performance Line CX motor with new hill hold function and quieter clutch/freewheeling
- New Purion 400 display
- New, lighter 600Wh or 800Wh battery options
- Powermore 250Wh compatibility across the range
2025 Mondraker Crafty specs and options
It's a little confusing on the specs too, with Mondraker now offering some Shimano drivetrain and gear options again, along with the change to Carbon/Alu rather than all Alu. We're glad to see an XR version with Ohlins - an option that's proven pretty popular previously!
