Bespoked show 2024

Those of you who've followed our Workshop Wednesday posts on Instagram will have seen that Matt's been busy working on a couple of 18 Bikes prototype frames - both full suspension, one an ebike.  These were for us to show at Bespoked Manchester, in the amazing Victoria Baths.

We've written up details of the 2 bikes we took along below, but you can also check out what GMBN, Pinkbike, The Radavist and Singletrack had to say

The 2 as yet un-named models are very much prototypes which we'll be testing over the coming months, but should give you an idea of what we're thinking of for the future of our Sheffield made frames.

- High single pivot design with idler

- Linkage activated shock

- Braking arm with 2 mounting options (plus "neutral")

- 29" with 150mm rear travel, 160mm front

The Ebike version features a Bosch SX motor with options of 250 Powermore and/or 400 Compact Powerpack batteries for us to test a variety of runtime/weight combinations.

We've built the non-ebike up with Cane Creek Helm and Tigon, a smattering of Hope parts, Reserve 30 SL rims and Shimano XT drivetrain.  Watch out for this one in the shop and out on the local trails while we put it to the test.

The ebike build will follow close behind, once we get the last few parts delivered from Bosch!
