Workshop Pricing January 2024

Every few years we look at our labour rate to decide if we need to adjust it, we've held off for as long as possible but from January 2nd 2024 our labour rate will increase to £48 per hour. As before, labour will be charged in 10 minute intervals (£8). All our fixed priced workshop jobs, such as our healthcheck or a brake bleed, will also increase to reflect the time taken - please ask for a quote on a specific job
We've not taken this decision lightly but the increased complexity of modern bikes and the extra training, tools and equipment required to carry out the work means we feel the increase is necessary. This increase is below inflation as we know this is a difficult time for everyone. We will continue to offer reduced labour charges for parts purchased at 18 Bikes so please always ask for a quote for parts and labour
Our demo fee will also be going up from £50 to £80 per day, this is the first rise in over 10 years and is down to the work involved in stocking demo bikes (or arranging borrowing them from brands), cleaning, maintenance and set up time. As before, this fee is refundable if you go ahead with a bike or frame purchase.
Finally, our hire fee for Evoc bike bags is also increasing to £50 for 1 week, £60 for 10 days or £70 for 2 weeks. For other time periods, please get in touch
